gapminder,
originally uploaded by Jack the fishy shell [ mood ].
I was tagged by Dan Stucke for this one, which was initiated by Miguel Guhlin.
I had to reflect for a while before picking this screenshot of GapMinder, a superb piece of software that provides visualisations of global development data. I guess I would like the young people passing through my life to pick up an understanding of the really big issues affecting the globe. I’m sure that I don’t do enough in my lessons to achieve that aim!
On the picture, the dark blue dots represent Sub-Saharan African countries.
I tag John, Neil, David, Tess and Stuart.
Here are the rules:
1. Think about what you are passionate about teaching your students.
2. Post a picture from a source like FlickrCC or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about…and give your picture a short title.
3. Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt” and link back to this blog entry.
4. Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.

Gah! The curse of the meme tag. I’ll give this some thought and try to get something tomorrow.
Thanks Robert, it might take a while. I know my ‘what’ just need a pic
