Today and tomorrow, the S1 cohort at North Berwick High School are all spending a couple of hours in groups working outdoors on some mathematical problem solving activities. Today’s sessions all went really well - thank to Liz Brookes for organizing the activities, and making it out to North Berwick despite car problems! Liz took some photos, so hopefully I’ll have something to post here tomorrow.

Computer training - 11 year old style
3 Comments Published November 11th, 2006 in Education, MacintoshAfter finally getting around to googling how to “show desktop” on the ibook that I received fairly recently (I’m really a Linux man at heart), I showed my 11 year old son. “Look what happens when you press F11″ I said to him. “Yeah - I knew that” he replied, unimpressed. I asked him how he had found this out and he said “at school we just pressed all the keys to see what they did.” Obvious really!
